Realme C75: Realme’s strength has been in providing sturdy, value-for-money phones – and the Realme C75 does its bit to keep up that tradition, and does so surprisingly confidently.
Targeting the value-conscious crowd, this phone manages to package style, battery life and everyday use in an elegant way, while not feeling quite as if you spent almost twice the price.
It doesn’t aim to take down the flagship killers or the mid-range champs, but there’s enough on offer with the C75 to make it a worthy player in a crowded category, and it does so without any flashy glitter: only the elements here that are important, like reliability, screen quality, and long battery life.
So how good is this budget contender then? Let’s take a closer look.
Design: Budget with a premium touch.
The Realme C75 is not, at first glance, the kind of low-cost phone you would pick. With the matte-finish rear panel, prominent camera housing and barely-there profile, it ends up looking much more polished than you’d expect.
Comes in colors such as Electric Blue and Carbon Black (I had one in Gold), and feels solid in the hand and doesn’t suffer from screaming “cheap!” on sight like the G4 Play.
The side-mounted fingerprint scanner is responsive and the phone still has a 3.5mm headphone jack — a major victory for anyone who has not yet made the transition to wireless audio.
It’s light, too — under 190 grams and light without feeling like it is flimsy.
Screen Big, Bright, and Deceptively Sharp
The display plays out graphics on a 6.72-inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is uncommon at this price point.
Browsing social media or watching YouTube is a smooth, punchy experience.
It’s plenty bright for outdoorsy type viewing, too, and the colour reproduction is accurate enough for light-to-moderate content consumption.
No, it’s not AMOLED — but for what we’re dealing with here, the price, you won’t find a better screen.
Performance: Able for the Daily Grind
Inside, underneath the hood, the C75 makes use of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, along with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded via a microSD card slot.
In day-to-day use — calls, browsing, social media, light gaming — it’s perfectly capable and doesn’t suffer from any noticeable lag.
Don’t expect it to play high-end games like Genshin Impact maxed out, but perhaps BGMI or Free Fire at medium graphics? Smooth enough.
The Realme UI T (based on Android 14) is relatively clean and optimized. You have a handful of preloaded apps, but can uninstall most.
In a performance sense, it is, as advertised, not particularly powerful, not anything explosive — which is more or less exactly what most people in this bracket should demand.
Camera: Better Than Basic
The Realme C75 features a based on the back which is accompanied by a secondary depth sensor. In well-lit conditions, it takes clear, crisp shots with good dynamic range.
There are usable night shots, but they exhibit noticeable grain and softness, as you’d expect for this price range.
The 8MP front-facing camera is good enough for selfies, video chatting and whatnot, the beautification is quite strong out of the box though.
There’s no ultra-wide or macro lens on offer here — just what’s tuned well and is consistent. And the camera app is easy to navigate, good for new smartphone owners.
Battery: Big and Long-Lasting
The Realme C75 comes with a 5000mAh battery, and it easily lasted a day and more. It even does well with moderate gaming and video streaming.
That translates into up to 2 days of use for typical users on a single charge.
There’s also 33W fast charging, which will take it from 0 to 50% in approximately 30 minutes — very handy when you’re in a hurry and need a full battery.
Pros:
Slim and premium design
Budget price point Full 120Hz FHD+ display
Long lasting battery with quick charging
Good, every day usefulness
Clean and user-friendly UI
Cons:
Only okay in low light shots
No ultra-wide or macro lens
Still uses LCD, not AMOLED
Heavy gaming: Not ideal for this process with Snapdragon 680
Rating: Ad Budget Genius With Everyday Brains
The C75 is proof behind the statement that budget phones can also not look or feel cheap.
With its crisp display, all-day battery and clean design, it checks off all the boxes for students, first-timers and anyone else in need of a no-nonsense daily driver.
It’s not going to set any performance records or come with state-of-the-art camera features, but for under ₹12,000, it does the job where it counts.
Amidst a world of overhyped specs and flashy gimmicks, the Realme C75 keeps things refreshingly real.
